Between Steve and Joyce there is approximately 65 years of equine handling and riding experience.

Joyce has participated in many disciplines but specialising in Endurance Riding and going forward to win Australia’s National title “The Tom Quilty Gold Cup” in 2004 on her home bred and world known mare “Reeflex”. In endurance riding the Tom Quilty event is equivalent to the Melbourne Cup but the horses need to be a lot fitter and durable than the average race horse.

Their achievements led to representing Australia internationally when they were invited to travel to the United Arab Emirates to compete in the Presidents Cup and she was also reserve rider for the world equestrian games in Aachen Germany in 2006. Joyce has successfuly completed more than 11,000 competitive kilometers. Other international rides include representing Australia in team events such as Walvis Bay 130k  ride in Nambibia and 160k Trans Tasmin event.

Steve and Joyce have competed in the USA and Steve had the gruelling task of strapping for Joyce in the Tevis Cup 160k event which is renoun to be one of the most challenging events is the world for both rider and strapper. Both Joyce and Steve competed in the First ever Gobi Desert cup being 480 kilometers over 6 days of 80k per day on  semi wild Mongolian  horses.
